I believe that German is an easy language. Obviously, not because I have learnt German, but because every website, every language learning course says so. The problem is that they all attempt to teach English speaker German. Which is as stupid a notion as it gets, because the only thing German and English share is, a script (partially), certain words (partially) and a royal family. For the rest of it, German is separated from English by time, geography and a massive load of history.
What it is closest to seems to me to be Hindi, or more so the Indo languages, with their emphasis on noun declension, verb declension and circuitous ways of saying the same things. I believe that if properly thought it would take a native Hindi speaker, lesser than a week to learn German. So I decided to start out the same way.
Unfortunately there are no books, no material that attempts to teach German to a Hindi speaker, except for a certain set of books that are long out of print. So this is my attempt to reinterpret all the English to German learning material into a Hindi to German format, to act as an aide memoire and as a refresher course whenever I attempt to come back to learn German.
If this helps you, or you feel that some of the lessons need some correction please feel free to drop a note, and I will be ever happy to modify, change and discuss it with you in greater detail.
